Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-6-2 Class S-2 2912 at an unknown location on an unknown date, photograph by Baldwin Locomotive Works, Chuck Zeiler collection. Once upon a time you could purchase steam locomotive prints from a gentleman named Herbert L. Broadbelt. This was one of those photos, an unusual action photo in the Baldwin Locomotive Works negative collection (note the negative number in the lower right). It was undated and no location was noted. I roughed in Denver...

Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 2-6-0 Class H-1 35 at Paterson, New Jersey, sometime in 1891, photographer unknown, Chuck Zeiler collection. This locomotive was built by the Rogers Locomotive & Machine Works of Paterson, New Jersey in 1891 (c/n 4642). An interesting note about the Rogers Works (later, a subsidiary of Alco).
